Home Embroidery List Guidelines
The Home Embroidery List is operated under the auspices of the Embroidery University School of Home Embroidery. Its' purpose is to provide a forum for the free exchange of information and ideas as they pertain to the "Home Embroidery" operations of various forms of home embroidery operations. While the free exchange of ideas is both desired and encouraged, a basic set of guidelines is necessary to maintain decorum and maximize the benefits to all.

  1. All discussions are to be related to the home embroidery aspect of embroidery operations. Topics can include, but are not limited to, management, pricing, personnel, planning, training, etc. Given the diversity of embroidery operations and the nature of mail-list communications it will require an effort from all concerned to stay on topic. While the friendly exchange is encouraged, casual conversation should be limited in nature.
  2. The subject line of all messages should accurately reflect the topic being discussed.
  3. All messages must be "Signed" so as to identify the author. The use of signature lines in excess of 4 lines is discouraged as is the use of signature files as a form of advertising.
  4. The following are not permitted:
    1. Commercial or classified advertising.
    2. Messages containing vulgar or obscene language.
    3. Harassing or discriminatory messages.
    4. Messages containing hidden URLs. All hyperlinks to web sites must be shown as the URL.
    5. Example: www.EmbroideryMall.com rather than Check Out My Site
    6. Spam postings. (Multiple postings of the same message to multiple lists.)
    7. File Attachments of any kind are strictly forbidden.
  5. Violations of these guidelines will result in a reminder from a List Monitor. Continued violations may result in removal from the list upon a majority vote of the list monitors.

This list is monitored by the School of Home Embroidery's List Advisors
